A Contribution to Contributor
Contributor is a rad project Conceived by Mike Giles and Annie Lam and co-curated by Bob Kronbauer.
Here is all the info all about it
The idea behind Contributor is pretty simple: skateboards for all. Although this seems like a very generous statement, it’s something that we truly believe is possible and within all of our reach.
Today, there are approximately 1.6 million kids living in poverty across Canada. The negative effects of poverty are very significant and limiting for those who are affected by it on a daily basis, but are especially difficult for youth. For these youth things that we take for granted – let’s say, the simple action of going out to play with friends on a skateboard – seem unattainable. Without access to a positive support through a group of peers and healthy alternatives to focus on, these kids can lose their way.
By working with non-profit organizations across Canada, who are dedicated to youth at risk and children in lower-income neighborhoods, we hope to encourage successful outcomes through the addition of skateboarding as a positive reinforcement.
There is so much to be said about how skateboarding can improve lives and build friendships between people who would’ve otherwise been strangers; heck that’s why this organization exists!
Contributor allows all of us to come together and give a new generation of kids that same opportunity.

Innocent when you dream
The exhibition brings together an international group of like-minded daydreamers and well -wishing creators from around northern Europe. Although from various backgrounds and disciplines, the artists included share common inspirations drawing from popular culture and the mundane everyday, in a highly contagious attempt at seeing beauty in the people, objects and incidents that make up their immediate surroundings. As much as there is variety in the choice of media and subject matter within the show, there are great many similarities in the artists' approach to making art. They all share a strong sense of almost innocent enthusiasm and readiness to embrace the life around them, a sort of nostalgia for a positive present that manifests itself through their work, a way of seeing the city around them as an endless resource of raw artistic materials and renewable creative energy. Innocent when you dream transforms the gallery space into a disco ball of art, reflecting the life outside the white walls and beaming it right back into the eyeholes of the unsuspecting gallery goers.

Inside The Cosmic Portal
Hattie Newman and Alex Ostroski invited me to take part in there Fedrigoni Moutains Paper Project.
All works in the exhibition were inspired of the snow capped Dolomite mountains which surround Fedrigoni's home town of Verona.
My piece was based on a strange cosmic portal that could be entered from a cave on one of the mountains.
